Bereavement Committee

St. Paul wrote to the Corinthians that if one part of the body suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part is honored, all the parts share its joy (Corinthians 12:26).

This holds true within the membership of the Perry County Consortium of Catholic Parishes.  The death of a member and all of its emotion is shared across the consortium. 

It is the volunteer members of the bereavement committee that assist in honoring the deceased and their family.  Following the funeral, the bereavement committee provides the family and friends with a meal.
