The Vision of our Pastoral Council |
The mission
of Jesus Christ is to create a new people, healed and saved through his
death and resurrection. Jesus commissioned His Church to be His “light
to the world.” In order for His Church to be His “light to the world,”
her members must invite people to meet Christ, teach people to know
Christ, and inspire people to live Christ by serving Him and others.
When we were baptized we received the Light of Christ and were given a
share in the mission of Jesus. When we were confirmed, the Holy Spirit
strengthened us to accomplish God’s will. At the Eucharist we become
what we receive, the Body of Christ, a living sacrament of the Lord’s
presence in Perry County. |

The Mission of our Pastoral Council |
The mission of the St.
Rose Pastoral Council is to help make the Light of Christ shine brighter
in our parish, in our school, and in our community.

 |
|
The Goals of our Pastoral Council |
| Our three year mission
involves three goals: |
|
1. |
To inspire already active and
involved Catholics to recognize the power and effect of Jesus
and His
Church and His school on their lives; |
|
2. |
to encourage more
active participation in the life of the Church, especially the
sacraments and Sunday Mass, as well as the parish community for
those who have minimal involvement in their parish and school;
and |
|
3. |
to create a sense of welcome
and invitation to those who may have roots to our parish and
school, but are currently uninvolved in parish life. |
